Hint ski school
Nothing is more important than "fun"!
Our attention belongs to the kids! They normally love the winter. Our task is it to find a playful way for the kids to lay the foundation for a lifelong passion. On this site we try to answer frequently asked questions. If you have any other question, please do not hesitate to contact us!
At what age can kids start ski school?
Skiing starts at fun & pro with 3 years in the Ski-Kindergarden. This lasts for 2 hours in the morning. For 4 years old kids and older we offer full-day courses.
At what age do children need a skipass?
Kids born 2005 and older need a regular lift pass which can be bought at the cash desk at the lift-station.
Kids born 2006 and younger:
Learning in the fun & pro Kinderland on the skischool owned "Macic-carpet" is free. As soon as the kids stay at the practice lifts they will require a liftpass. You can buy these tickets to the price of € 3,50 per day at the lift station if you show your fun & pro course ticket there!
Please make sure to get the ticket before your child goes on the practice lift!

Is it important to go to the practice lift?
Going to the practice lift is the first approach to the slopes of the advanced skier. Only this way, kids learn to estimate speeds and to recognize danger. For us, safety goes first! We only go up with the big lifts, when all the kids know how to ski.
Do children need ski poles?
Kids in the Ski-Kindergarden and Beginners do not need ski poles. The instructor will tell you a soon as the kids need them.
Must children wear a helmet?
YES - there is a new law in Salzburg that says that children must wear a helmet. In all our lessons is the rental of the helmet included in the price. In case of falls or collisions the head takes the most risk! That's why we never go without!
Clothing
Please dress your child with ski cloths adapted to the weather. Ski jacket and trousers would be the best. Do not forget sun cream, sunglasses or goggles and gloves.
Languages
Our courses are mainly hold in German and English. We also have always Dutch and Danish speaking instructors. As it is difficult to offer all levels in all the different languages we ask for understanding that we try to have at least for the smaller kids-groups the right instructor.
Events
• Every Wednesday after the ski course – Kids Après Ski with our Dino, Music and entertainment programme and Clown Lupino!.
