Fatbiking is all the rage nowadays, but strictly speaking it is not a new sport trend, because Fatbikes were already around more than 40 years ago. No passionate mountain biker should miss out on tyres that are almost five inches wide. Born in the cold of Alaska, Fatbikes are veritable winter champions. They open up powder snow areas for bikers and transform winter landscapes into the ultimate MTB terrain. They’re great fun to try out and easier to ride than you might think thanks to an air pressure of about 0.5 bar.
Fatbikes of today are noted for their low weight, special suspension forks and extra-wide tyres, all of which make for a completely new cycling experience.
Fun & pro has brand new ROCKY MOUNTAIN and NORCO Fatbikes for guided Fatbike tours in Flachau. Both bikes guarantee you’ll get an authentic mountain bike feeling and outstanding performance on Austria’s most beautiful playground – the snow.
You will need sturdy shoes, a thin hat under your helmet and gloves for the Fatbike tour. You should certainly wear warm clothing but it should still allow a certain freedom of movement.
The Fatbike Tour can be booked online every Thursday from 1 pm to 3 pm. The minimum number of participants for a tour is 3 people. We recommend registering in a group to ensure the tour takes place.
